solli
Hi everyone I have added an external usb Hard Drive to my setup, and I have also upgraded to windows vista, at least I think I have upgraded, I installed vista from XP but found my computer was slow so I did a clean install from the vista cd onto my main HD, now I am wondering if I can install it on my unpartitioned external hard drive. I also have my XP recovery files on the D drive of my computer, can I wipe this clean and claim back the space. urgonah8me
cant be done... you cant install vista on a USB device/drive However (I also wanted to do what you want) maybe its possible to install on an internal HDD 1st then take that HDD out and put it in a usb case and maybe then that could work? Not sure tho because of the bootloader Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/121814-installing-vista-premium-on-my-external-hard-drive/#findComment-873368 Share on other sites
