I recently tried to install XP via bootcamp. I got it mostly installed and when it went to reboot to finish the install I got a message saying there is a hal.dll error. So I tried re-installing XP and I got the same problem.

I don't know if it is the disk and if it is I don't want to re-purchase XP again.

Here are my specs:

Hardware Overview:

Model Name: MacBook

Model Identifier: MacBook4,1

Processor Name: Intel Core 2 Duo

Processor Speed: 2.1 GHz

Number Of Processors: 1

Total Number Of Cores: 2

L2 Cache: 3 MB

Memory: 1 GB

Bus Speed: 800 MHz

Boot ROM Version: MB41.00C1.B00

SMC Version: 1.31f0

Serial Number: ***********

Sudden Motion Sensor:

State: Enabled

If anyone knows why, or how to fix it please let me know.

Thanks in advance,

Hayden
