sanpedro
I just bought a Dell 1390 wireless card and when I try to install it the computer won't boot up at all. It doesn't show an error message either. I think it's because Toshiba has whitelisted only certain cards. Is there a way to edit this whitelist? I've seen some HP's that have been able to hack the BIOS to get rid of the whitelist altogether but I didn't want to try that and risk bricking the system. InorganicMatter
To do so will require you to modify a BIOS image and flash that image to the motherboard. It will only work for that image, and every subsequent update will have to be modified as well. I wouldn't risk that, but hey, I've seen some crazier stunts on this board! sanpedro
I actually just updated the BIOS today with the latest version, but I would do it if it meant wireless in Leopard. There's a whole thread on it for HP's, but I haven't seen anything for Toshiba.
