zkello Posted August 18, 2008 Share Posted August 18, 2008 hey i have been trying to install osx86 with the kalyway 10.5.2 AMD/intel dvd on my system. I keep on getting the "still waiting for root device" error before i get to the install menu. My pc specs are: asrock aliveNF6P-vsta mobo geforce 8500gt 256mb sata 150gb hdd sata dvd burner I also have access to a ide hdd but when i tried using it i still came up with the error. The ide hdd is not mine so i can use it only temporarily. I want to be able to dual boot with windows. My bios does not have options for ahci or ide legacy mode. Im trying to borrow a dvdrom drive. will this help? Also can someone give me the name of a osx86 dvd installer that will work with my system? And one more thing, my friend has osx86 installed and is using the same graphics card as me. could he copy the mac files to my hdd and then have them work in my pc?
