imjustabill
I'm using the 10.4.4 install DVD (MacOSX_10.4.4DVD.iso) When I try to install (with -v), I get: Debugger called: <panic> backtrace , format - frame : return address (4 potential args on stack) 12 lines of hex kernel loadable modules in backtrace (with dependencies_: com.apple.driver.ApplePS2Controller(1.1.0)@0x1f9cb000 Averatec 6130-hs20 Laptop P4 with SSE2, and PAE, no XD 512 Ram Radeon 9600 64mb Any suggestions? Thanks! edit: I also have a SiS based chipset. Does that mean I've got no chance? edit2: Doh!! It took me 3 hours to figure out I just needed the platform=ACPIX86pc option! imjustabill
Yeah, I meant platform=ACPI. The strangest thing is that it booted up fine the 1st time, but since then it hasn't worked. I'm going to try a fresh install, if not that doesn't work I'm gonna try 10.4.3 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/12145-1044-install-dvd-kernel-panic/#findComment-77812 Share on other sites
