Well, assuming you have done the Checksum/MD5 on those DVDs and you have a DVD drive that has been tested compatible, I would disable as many unnecessary hardware prior to install. That would include WinTV, ITE IDE controller (not supported OSX), USB if you don't need it.

This setup is compatible. The AppleAzaliaAudio.kext needs kext editing for output, input doesn't work AFAIK.

Yeee i have OSX, after booting up my other machine i read about disabling sound, and it works, everything, well no sound as of yet, the only thing i found was on my attempt to disable USB, while troubleshooting, causes the system to freeze, needing a bios reset via jumpers, common according to the asus site.

Anyway i have a BT Voyager Modem 100, ADSL, drivers are available but PPC version, as i used it on my ibook, but system profiler picks it up as a USB ADSL Modem, is there any way to use it..

PS I cant believe how fast it is, compared to my ibook

Sorry, are you asking, or just stating a fact? I don't see a question mark, so I can't tell.

Others have reported this works (with a bit of searching, you might find the trhead):

Turn off on board audio in bios PRIOR to booting the install.

After install, install the needed Azalia ALC882 kext. Go here for info:

Audio input and output is reported to work (at the above link).

Reboot, turn audio on in BIOS.
