ifrit05
So, I got exited when JaS released his new OSx86. I went ahead and installed it on a intel D845GVSR, 2 Gigs Ram, 120 Gig HD, P4 2.53 Ghrz, and a GeForce FX5500 PCI GPU. I used to have iATKOS r2 with all the same hardware. Now, here's the problem, with iATKOS I used NVinject to get my GPU to work. But now, I tried everything (NVinject, Natit, Titan, Universal) but all I get on boot is a blue screen. I followed ALL instructions and got nothing. Any help would be apreciated. Thanks! Gujal
NVinject, Natit, Titan, Universal dont work beyond 10.5.2 You need to use Diabolik's NVKush or a EFI Graphics string Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/120918-problems-with-geforce-fx5500jas-1054/#findComment-856179 Share on other sites
ifrit05
Thanks for the reply, but it looks like to me (forgive my noobishness) NVkush is only for GeForce 7xxx/8xxx series GPUs. I have a FX5500... And I cant seem to find anything about EFI Graphics strings. But, then again, why would I use EFI things if Im not using PC-EFI etc? Thanks. EDIT: Ok, i found out what the EFI GFX stuff was. but that still wont help, again, only for 7/8 cards... so, abandon hope all ye who enter here with fx5xxx cards? lol. Thanks. ifrit05
Ok, tried NVkush. Opening video was smooth. But when it got to the desktop, it was the same old blue screen I always get. Hmm... This is frustrating. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/120918-problems-with-geforce-fx5500jas-1054/#findComment-856720 Share on other sites
Gujal
I had a similar issue with my GeForce 4200Ti and I had to move my monitor to the DVI connector using a DVI-VGA adaptor to get it going. Basically it was treating my VGA port on the Geforce 4200Ti as the second monitor Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/120918-problems-with-geforce-fx5500jas-1054/#findComment-856981 Share on other sites

Weird... Lol, now it says my GPU os a "I Can Has Model?"... LOL. IDK, It works, Thanks Gujal!
