vtrac
This works on NForce4 chipsets, but the Nforce SATA does not work. You'll still need an IDE drive. thetravellor
I guess I am the hundreth person to say this, The DVD kernel panics on my AMD XP 2800+ during boot, I have read its because the DVD does not contain a 1.0a patch. Ok, does anybody know where I can go from here? Is there anyway to get a basic boot happening so I can apply a patch? Or is there a different bittorrent that I can download with AMD support patched in and ready to work. Regards. I would like to share it on BitTorrent than of course but it's very ugly that I can\t find a version with some seeds... :'( Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/12079-macosx1045universalinstalldvdintel_amd_sse3_sse2/page/3/#findComment-105291 Share on other sites
Sushant
I don't know if I should blame the DVD. I installed it fine onto my Compaq laptop (Intel SSE2) with the patches et al. Everything in VMWare 5, because I don't have a DVD burner. Tried the same procedure on my AMD64 Venice (MSI RS480M2 + 1024mb + usual blah blah) and I'm getting the segfaults described in the previous posts. Ardeo
SAY WHAT?! It might be. We'd need a better run-down of your hardware to give you a definite answer. However, I will say that 256 mb of ram might not be enough to run OSx86 smoothly.
