leglez
I just ordered everything for my hackintosh and ordered a 7300GT but am already wanting to upgrade it. I don't want to spend more than $200. I run dual monitors, I have a 25" Dell running 1920 x 1080. I also have a 32" Vizio running 1360 x 768. I don't really game, I just play World of warcraft occasionally. But I do Video Editing in Final Cut daily. Please let me know what the best compatible card is for under $200. I was going to pick up an HD 4850 but it doesn't look like it supports dual monitors yet. Oh and I want to be able to run DVI to the Dell and HDMI to the Vizio, and an DVI-HDMI converter is fine. nigelbb
The ATI Radeon HD3870 is currently the highest performing graphics card for OS X. Unfortunately there appears to be no way of using more than one ATI card in a Hackintosh so if you think that you may ever want more than 2 monitors it is best to choose an Nvidia card. Synaesthesia
i got a 4870 working on os X just needed to update 10.5.5 and it started workingHow about QE/CI? The 9800gtx+ is probably the best bet for <$200 right now. vbetts
I'd say the 9800 series, more support than what the 4870 current has right now. leglez
Hmm I was just looking and stumbled upon This beast I am thinking about purchasing it instead, I figure once I get all my mail in rebates back I'll have about $60 extra, and I sold my 2GB stick of RAM and my 7300GT today for $50 so that gave me $110 extra, and I am thinking I want this card. I looked and it is compatible in OS X according to This Guide Anyone suggest this card?
