natu Posted August 11, 2008 Share Posted August 11, 2008 Which systems support EFI? I have a Pentium 4 @2.8Ghz with SSE3. And, is there any difference from PC-EFI and EFI are they the same. MGJulius Posted August 11, 2008 Share Posted August 11, 2008 EFI stands for External Firmware Interface. It is used as a link between the software (OS) and the hardware. EFI is Apple's equivilent to the normal BIOS used on most PC's. However any type of hackintosh emulates EFI using PC-EFI and other devices.
