Dymanese Posted August 10, 2008 Share Posted August 10, 2008 Hi all, I have the Asus P5W DH Deluxe w/bios 2704 board and can install retail DVD just fine. I have the Nvidia GeForce 8800 GTS 320MB card installed. Everything works, but when I update to 10.5.3 or 10.5.4 the DVD Player and any other video functions just stop working. I get a message of "A valid video device cannot be found for playback [-70017]". Does anyone know how to fix this? Gujal Posted August 10, 2008 Share Posted August 10, 2008 You are most probably using NVInject, which does not work on versions beyond 10.5.2. You have to delete the kext and start using either NVKush or graphics string for any version beyond 10.5.2.
