I recently tried to add a second monitor to my M1530 Hackint0sh without reading a tutorial how (assuming it worked with the nvidia drivers)

Now when I try to boot up I am receiving a blue screen on my laptop display with the monitor unplugged (and none on my external monitor when plugged) that has a mouse cursor able to move around.

Is there any way to fix this? Reformatting would be a huge pain considering I've already installed quite a few programs...

Found a problem I think, there seems to be a continuous startup loop going...

edit: Going to disable internal NIC and Wifi to see if anything gets fixed.

Didn't fix it... bDevice-00164C9AF34b just changed to bDevice-000000000000b and the other do the same ( without trailing b )

Hmm, If it were a desktop I would have suggested removing all networking cards. Can you turn off the wireless and any other lan cards in the bios. I still am not sure this is the real problem, but it is perhaps worth a shot. Then try booting again with -v.

Can you turn off the wireless and any other lan cards in the bios.

That's what I tried, I'm just going to pull out the hard-drive, back it up, and then reformat. Oh well :hysterical:

While I'm doing this, do you happen to know of any good Sigmatel 9228 audio drivers? Possibly with headphone jack support and mute? The one I had previously only allowed internal speakers and no mute.

I'm running a Dell XPS M1530 if that's of any help.

Thanks for tryin' with the issue :D

If that does not work, you can do the following:

If you are using Natit:

Boot with -s option,

then mount -uw /

then rm -fr /System/Library/Extensions/Natit.kext

then rm /System/Library/Extensions.kextcache /System/Library/Extensions.mkext

then reboot

If you are using NVInject:

Boot with -s option,

then mount -uw /

then rm -fr /System/Library/Extensions/NVinject.kext

then rm /System/Library/Extensions.kextcache /System/Library/Extensions.mkext

then reboot

If you are using NVInject:

Boot with -s option,

then mount -uw /

then rm -fr /System/Library/Extensions/NVinject.kext

then rm /System/Library/Extensions.kextcache /System/Library/Extensions.mkext

then reboot

Going to try this real quick.

Still doing the mDNSResponder problem.

Damn.

Alright, I'll get started on that.

Also, should I use journaled or regular partitioning? And from an earlier post, do you happen to know of any good Sigmatel 9228 audio drivers? Possibly with headphone jack support and mute? The one I had previously only allowed internal speakers and no mute.

hey,

i come along with this:

IMG_5171.jpg

what i've done: i installed ipc 10.5.6 with a geforce 9600 GT (1gb of ram). mainboard is a asus a8n-sli deluxe and there is a seagate hard drive. everything worked fine, then i edited the efi and so on after this manual: http://forum.netkas.org/index.php?topic=222.0 . i also used OSX86 Tools.

when i start the system wothout -v -f under DVI i get a blue screen without cursor and i cant get to the login... theres nothing, just blue-ness. i also can't perform a blind login, the hard drive does not blink.

when i start it with a vga cable with -v -f i get the screen in the picture (kernel panic).

when i start in safe mode (-x) everything works finde and it starts up correctly.

so, what can i do to make it work normal ?
