OzSpeedway
Well, I am now on my way to making my hackintosh a permanent fixture instead of my Ubuntu machine. However, I am now trying to find a reasonable email client. I have used Thunderbird for a few years and have become more and more disheartened with it. For example, on the brand new install on my H-Mac, it has decided that it does not want to move Junk email. It did the same thing on my Ubuntu box, just out of the blue. I just cannot be bothered anymore... So I am asking the population what they would recommend. My only requirements are the ability to use multiple personalities, preferably in one mailbox. If such a beast does exist in the Mac world I would love to know about it... Alessandro17
Did you copy your Thunderbird profile from Ubuntu? Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/119779-which-email-app/#findComment-848343 Share on other sites
OzSpeedway
Did you copy your Thunderbird profile from Ubuntu? Not the whole thing, no. I copied the Local Folder directory structure but that is about all. The Ubuntu machine still exists (for now) so could still do that if need be. Would that make T-Bird do it's thing with Junk again? I copied over prefs.js and the address book from Ubuntu and T-Bird suddenly started working with Junk again. It has somewhat of a reprieve at this stage but I will still look around for another mail client. Colonel
If you don't mind switching clients, I would highly recommend OS X's built in Mail.app. It works great, it's simple yet powerful, and it's easy to use. OzSpeedway
Thanks Colonel I'll fire up Mail App using IMAP and see what it is like. I was of the understanding that it couldn't do multiple accounts (wrong!!) so it could be a contender!
