douggy12345
Hi my specs are as follows: Mobo - ECS Geforce 6100PM-M2 CPU - AMD Athlon 64X2 4200+ Memory - 2GB DDR2 800 Ram Hard Drive - 250GB SATAII Graphics - PNY Geforce 8600GT 512MB WLAN - Dlink DWA-111 Bluetooth Dongle (unknown manufacturer) Firewire - VIA VT-6307 PCI firewire host I am running 10.5.2 Leo4Allv3 with no problems at all. Runs like a dream. I have a MOTU PCI-424 card installed connected to a Core 24 I/O which works flawlessly. And then I have an Edirol FA-66 Firewire Audio Interface which I use for MIDI and Headphone purposes and the problems is this: 1) Every so often (once every couple of minutes) when using iTunes or other music sources I get a quarter-second dropout of audio and then it returns. 2) When watching videos, every couple of minutes the sound cuts out altogether and only returns when I pause the video and then unpause. I really don't understand why this is happening seeing as everything else seems to be working absolutely fine. Any ideas? Cheers Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/119663-edirol-fa-66-firewire-audio-dropout-problems/ Share on other sites

beeboo
you have to use a "texas" firewire chipset or try disabling usb.. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/119663-edirol-fa-66-firewire-audio-dropout-problems/#findComment-848370 Share on other sites

TennisGeek
I'd go out and buy a TI (Texas Instruments) based card and see it improves. See www.presonus.com/media/pdf/hardware_compatibility.pdf and pick one in the recommended list. VIA VT6306 seems to have a bandwidth issue. -- TG Hi my specs are as follows: Mobo - ECS Geforce 6100PM-M2 CPU - AMD Athlon 64X2 4200+ Memory - 2GB DDR2 800 Ram Hard Drive - 250GB SATAII Graphics - PNY Geforce 8600GT 512MB WLAN - Dlink DWA-111 Bluetooth Dongle (unknown manufacturer) Firewire - VIA VT-6307 PCI firewire host I am running 10.5.2 Leo4Allv3 with no problems at all.
