  1. TruePianos on OSX86? - SOLVED

Hi there I have a problem with truepianos not starting but from these posts I can't gather how exactly to fix it. The link is broken. How do you configure your own serial number? As in, where do you get the number? This problem has extended to other plugins not loading also....
  2. This is the final hurdle in my install of 10.5.8! Sata drive installed everything fine, but wont read any discs once booted into Mac OS X. It reads fine in Vista. Firewire drive is incredibly slow in OS X but fine in Vista. Any thoughts? Thanks
  3. I currently have a stable install of LawlessPPC 10.5.4 but I need to update to 10.5.7 and whenever I try and patch the combo update, i get kernel panics or general system freezes. I tried iDeneb 1.3 with the view to trying the ideneb 10.5.7 combo update. It installs fine but wont boot unless in safe mode. I heard there might be an issue with my chipset that requires a patch. So I downloaded v1.4. This wont even boot into the install page. It constantly reads "still waiting for root device". I have tried SATA controller in IDE, AHCI and RAID mode and none work. I am stuck, really need to get 10.5.7 so I can install my GTX260 graphics card as I need to use Final Cut Pro. System specs: Asus M2N-SLI Deluxe nForce 570 SLi AMD Phenom 9750 2.4GHz quad core 2 x 2GB Crucial Red Ballistix RAM DDR2 800 SATA HDs EVGA GTX260 896MB Video Card Suggestions would be much appreciated Thanks
  4. I have changed boards now and am using an ASUS M2N-SLI, mainly for vista and gaming because I couldn't fit my new graphics in! But when I was using this board the spec was: ECS Geforce6100PM-M2 AMD Athlon 64 X2 4200+ 2GB PC6400 DDR2800 Geforce 8600 GT PNY Graphics Sata HD and Sata DVD drive Firewire card installed also. I would say that first try installing with the test Nforce, I think I may have done that and it went through fully. If that doesn't work, try removing the graphics and using the onboard VGA for installation and then try adding later - I don't really know about the compatability of your card.... Then, if that still doesn't work, try the patch for still waiting at root device, think its on the ideneb website here: http://ideneb.insanelymac.net/index.php?lang=en All the instructions are there.. And YES, you must apply the AMD patch if you are running it on an AMD machine!! Heres the direct link for the waiting for root device fix: http://ideneb.insanelymac.net/en/blog
  5. nForce LAN driver

Hi I have the driver installed and internet is working really flawlessly. However, when I try to transfer files with my macbook, it is EXTREMELY slow!! I am not particularly knowledgeable when it comes to getting this stuff to work, could anyone walk me through what might be causing this problem? Cheers DOugie
  6. Driver for nForce4 LAN

Can you give me a link to the page where it is to save me scoring through 37 pages?! Cheers Dougie
  7. Driver for nForce4 LAN

Hi I have an ECS Geforce6100PM-M2 Mobo with iDeneb 1.3 Have tried 0.3 forcedeth.... Once I have entered the last line into terminal and hit enter (sudo kextload -v forcedeth.kext), the "found new ethernet interface" pops up but I lose mouse and keyboard and it seems like a system freeze. The thing is, the graphic blue pulsating light-dim background of one of the buttons is still animating, and when I pulled a piece of hardware out, it removed from the task bar so I am pretty sure it is actually not a freeze or a kernel, just losing mouse and keyboard functionality. Any ideas as what to try next? Cheers Dougie
  8. Dlink USB Adapter causing Kernel Panic (i think)

    Can nobody help?
  9. Hi there My Specs are: Mobo - ECS Geforce 6100PM-M2 CPU - AMD Athlon 64X2 4200+ Memory - 2GB DDR2 800 Ram Hard Drive - 250GB SATAII Graphics - PNY Geforce 8600GT 512MB WLAN - Dlink DWA-111 Bluetooth Dongle (unknown manufacturer) Firewire - VIA VT-6307 PCI firewire host I have a MOTU PCI-424 card installed connected to a Core 24 I/O which works flawlessly. I am running 10.5.2 Leo4Allv3. My problem is that when the wireless adapter is plugged in, if its being used, after about an hour and a half (sometimes much less sometimes much more anytime between 20 mins and 2 hours) the "you need to restart your computer" kernel panic comes up. I am assuming it is my D-Link DWA-111 adapter because when it is not connected or even when I am not using the internet, the hack never crashes. Using the latest D-link os x driver from their website.. Anyone got any ideas? Cheers
  10. Edirol FA 66 Firewire AUDIO DROPOUT PROBLEMS

    Seriously, can nobody help?
  11. Hi my specs are as follows: Mobo - ECS Geforce 6100PM-M2 CPU - AMD Athlon 64X2 4200+ Memory - 2GB DDR2 800 Ram Hard Drive - 250GB SATAII Graphics - PNY Geforce 8600GT 512MB WLAN - Dlink DWA-111 Bluetooth Dongle (unknown manufacturer) Firewire - VIA VT-6307 PCI firewire host I am running 10.5.2 Leo4Allv3 with no problems at all. Runs like a dream. I have a MOTU PCI-424 card installed connected to a Core 24 I/O which works flawlessly. And then I have an Edirol FA-66 Firewire Audio Interface which I use for MIDI and Headphone purposes and the problems is this: 1) Every so often (once every couple of minutes) when using iTunes or other music sources I get a quarter-second dropout of audio and then it returns. 2) When watching videos, every couple of minutes the sound cuts out altogether and only returns when I pause the video and then unpause. I really don't understand why this is happening seeing as everything else seems to be working absolutely fine. Any ideas? Cheers
  12. Leo4Allv3 - will it work on my machine?

Anyone got anything actually helpful to add? Cheers
  13. Leo4Allv3 - will it work on my machine?

  14. Hi I have been trying for about 4 days now to get a decent working installation on a brand new PC i bought specifically for this project. I gave up with Zephyroth rev1 and 2 and am now trying Leo4Allv3. I am worried I made a big mistake when choosing hardware because I didn't really know enough about it. My specs are: iCute 400watt PSU ECS GeForce6100SM -M2 Mobo AMD 64 X2 4200+ CPU 2GB DDR2 800 RAM 250GB SATA (3Gb/s) Samsung SATA DVD-RW I have managed to get it to boot to desktop without any video drivers installed - but it boots pretty slowly and I have no ethernet and the video is unchangable. I am wondering whether I am trying to use the wrong installation (haven't tried kalyway) or whether it just wont be compatible with my motherboard. Also, could there be a problem with using onboard graphics and LAN? I tried an MCP61 forcedeth driver from the Leo4Allv3 resources page (http://osx86leo4all.wikidot.com/utilities-resources) but it didn't seem to help... I also tried the 10.5.3 update as well listed on that page but that froze during install and the completely f**ked the whole thing up and I have to start fresh. I really don't think I can put too much time to this and because my knowledge doesn't extend far enough I am in need of some help! Any ideas? Cheers D
