mitch_de
Hi, i assembled an complete set of .kexts to avoid testing a lot of combinations of different NATITs (there are at least 3 differenr for 38XX!), TRIAKIS (its within the ATINDRV.kext) and the Apple ATIRadeon2000XXX.kext. I only get QE+CI+Rotation with: ATIRADEON2000.kext Version 1.5.24 (10.5.2/ATI Leopard Update) ,ATIRADEON2000GL.bundle Version 1.5.24 , ATIRADEON2000VA.kext 1.5.28 (cames with 10.5.3), ATIRADEON2000VA.kext V 1.5.28. NATIT.kext +ATIDRV.kext from Triakis All above files ar packed in my mitchs_3850.set (DL below). Any other combination of ATI2000XXX gives white menue or scrambled screen. I hope somewhen we get it running using the newer OpenGL running. files ypu can DL: /OSX86/mitchs_ati3850_set.zip /OSX86/Kext Helper b7.zip (use that finstalling the .kext / .bundle files, its drag & Drop ) /OSX86/VideoHardwareInfo.dmg (from apple, small tool gives information) /OSX86/GA-P35-DS3L_Rev_2.0_v1.2.pdf (an guide to install OSX86) mitchs ATIHD3850 set & tools Maybe you get german text screen for my filesaccess, simple click first on "GMX Mediacenter starten" , then you get the files window, simple click on the icons/files you want to DL, DL starts. HINT: Backup all changed files before. If you get problems after next boot, boot with kernel option -x, that gives save mode (Framebuffer), you can then simple reinstall the your old files with kext Helper back. philexile
Does this work for AGP 3850 cards? If not, can you help in developing a method that will? Thanks! I see a lot of references to EFIStudio_Extended but they all lead back here and its dead links. Where can I download this? harrisandreson
itil certification ….The good: Fastest 3D card under $200; solid home-theater capabilities; supports multiple card configurations with up to four cards in the same PC. ….The bad: CrossFire performance remains sketchy depending on the game; despite DirectX 10 support, actually switching those features on remains too challenging; newer, potentially faster Nvidia cards in the same price range are supposedly just around the corner. …The bottom line: Despite the usual caveats of an ever-fluctuating 3D market, for the moment, at least, ATI's new Radeon HD 3850 graphics card delivers the best bang-for-the buck in PC graphics hardware. Until now we haven't had an acceptable sub-$200 option for PC gaming this year. Thanks to AMD, now we do. itil certification ….The good: Fastest 3D card under $200; solid home-theater capabilities; supports multiple card configurations with up to four cards in the same PC. BentonQuest
New uploaded ! Thankyou! Unfortunately I tried adding the 3800_MEGALODON string and when I boot I still get a screen full of garbage. Am I doing something wrong? Am I meant to edit something in that extra box that comes up before I press 'add to boot.plist' ?
