EGC Posted March 14, 2006 Share Posted March 14, 2006 I guess i've set the resolution too high i added in <key>resolution</key> <string>1680x1050x32@85</string> at the apple.boot.plist file since i'm using a 20" screen .... is there a way i can get a 2nd chance to do it again or do i have to reinstall the system? labria Posted March 14, 2006 Share Posted March 14, 2006 "resolution"? Shouldn't it be "Graphics Mode"? and are you sure your card supports "@85"? Anyway - just enter: "Graphics Mode"="1024x768x32" at the boot prompt (you can get there by pressing F8 before booting). Should help... EGC Posted March 14, 2006 Author Share Posted March 14, 2006 hi... i did type in what you said but .. hmm... still make no differnces the last two line of the error are: MacOS/loginwindow: login window application started jnl: reply_journal: from : 2459648 to : 2632704 (joffset 0x190000) btw... my version of 10.4.4/5 never has a graphic log-in page... (all codes) and it never completely shut down or restart... i have to reboot it manually... was that kind of normal?
