underdawg
Hello, a few months ago I installed OS X on my GA-EP35-DS3R and had a XFX 8800GT. I used agrafuese's guide to get my 8800GT to work w/ acceleration, found here: http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=91755 My 8800GT died, so newegg was nice enough to let me do a exchange for the 4850 (which is awesome, btw.) - only thing is, since I've installed my new 4850 OS X doesn't even boot. I try booting into "safe mode" or "boot mode" or w/e you wanna call it and nothing, i just get a kernel panic. Would this be result of the EFI stuff i did w/ the 8800GT? If anyone has any ideas, I'd greatly appreciate it. I don't expect to use acceleration on my 4850, i'd be happy with a decent resolution, without acceleration, for now. Just help me get OS X Back! Thanks in advanced! -Underdawg Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/119401-remove-efi-driver-for-8800gt/ Share on other sites

underdawg
I know that, but right now my OSX doesn't even boot. I'll be happy w/ just a working OS X w/o acceleration. Please help.
