doxx Posted August 5, 2008 Share Posted August 5, 2008 hello all, I just installed Kaly 10.5.2 on an Acer One w/ 8GB SSD... system boots fine and feels pretty snappy, webcam works, ethernet works... BUT audio is dead, card readers are dead, wifi is dead (Atheros AR5006EG), USB slots (Intel 82801G (IHC7 Family)) are dead and display is only 800x600... help! seems like the Intel 82801G is taking care of the mass storage... any drivers out there for OSX?? same for Atheros AR5006EG wireless how about getting native 1024*600 (GMA?)... MSI Wind & EEE seem to work (jealous) any help appreciated. thanks! krrr Posted August 5, 2008 Share Posted August 5, 2008 interesting, thanks for posting this, I was also going to get Aspire one, but i now have MSI wind (winxp running) and i may soon load OSx86 but that machine is not for me . so lets see. regarding wifi, you will need to get dell 1390 or 1490 adaptor (hopefully it fits on aspire , do check) as this card is supported out_of_box, dont know for rest of the things. Digital1 Posted September 25, 2008 Share Posted September 25, 2008 I actually just bought one of the ACER One ZG5 also! I installed Kaly and installed it with the 10.5.3 update. I cant get the wireless to work nor the video card it say on the site a x3100 but other places i seen it to me a gma950. i have tried to install the x3100 off of Kala 10.5.2 but no luck still 800x600. Also sounds doesnt work. If we can find these drivers it would be the perfect Mini Hac Laptop. Anyone got any suggestions ? DanS Posted September 25, 2008 Share Posted September 25, 2008 Check out this website to see how to install iATKOS v4i 10.5.4 onto the AAO: http://www.aspireoneuser.com/forum/viewtop...f=14&t=1505 You may be able to use some of the same procedures on your Kalyway install to get the audio and video to work. Card readers will not work using the iATKOS install either. Still being worked on.
