Need some help

Hey guys,

 

I tried installing iAtkos release 2 (10.5.1) (i selected EFI bootloader, cuz the other one didn't work for me...and and kept GUID), but when i reboot without the DVD in, i get a blinking cursor...when i boot with the dvd in, i get the com.apple.boot.plist not found, and so when i press F8 there, only my network shows up to boot from, not even my HD....is this because i didn't install using a SATA DVD drive. If so is there some way to install without having to buy one.

 

Anyways, my specs are:

 

Intel Pentium D 3.40GHz

Asus P5WD2-E Premium (Intel 975 X chipset)

160 GB Maxtor SATA HD (set to AHCI)

2 GB Corsair 800MHz RAM

ATi X700 Crossfire Edition

Generic DVD writer (16x)

 

Note: I also installed the same DVD on this computer, but i used MBR, and at least then i was able to boot with the DVD in(without it, i would get blinking cursor)

 

I would rele appreciate any help at this point
