juanml82
Hi guys, I've just installed Kalyway 10.5.2, the installation went fine but then it doesn't boot unless I use the safe boot mode. I get the line "ethernet: family specific matching fails" and the monitor turns black and nothing else happens. My specs: Intel C2D E6750 @2.66Mhz 2 GB RAM 800mhz Mobo Gigabyte P35-DS3L GeForce 8600GT 1 HD Sata II Samsung 160 GB (HD161HJ), has Win XP installed 1 HD Sata II Western Digital 320 GB (WD3200KS-00PFB0) partitioned, one NTFS partition with data, the other one has HSF Journaled with OSX86 I attaching a picture just before it freezes. And just in case, I'm a newbie to this Thanks in advance Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/118888-kalyway-freezes-at-startup/ Share on other sites
Gujal
You have got both Natit and NVinjectGO loaded which could be the issue Boot into safe mode, start terminal and type the following sudo rm -rf /System/Library/Extensions/NVinj* sudo touch /System/Library/Extensions sudo reboot This will remove the NVinjectGO and rebuild the boot cache and reboot. This time it should boot correctly Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/118888-kalyway-freezes-at-startup/#findComment-841996 Share on other sites
juanml82
That didn't work. But you were right that it was a conflict between drivers. I kept thinking about that and reinstalled without the LAN drivers and it worked so thanks Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/118888-kalyway-freezes-at-startup/#findComment-843637 Share on other sites
