Does anyone know of a wireless card that will support 5GHz networking at 300mpbs with OSX86? I've have yet to find one. Not sure they even make them.
I have recently negotiated with Broadcom and Atheros to get desktop PCI-Express X1 802.11a/b/g/n wireless cards that will be 100% apple airport compatible (use existing apple drivers without modifications and recognized properly).

I received two development cards a couple of weeks back from Atheros, fully tested the cards and submitted my approval for the card, now I just need to submit a request for a production run however the price is affected by the quantity ordered.

One version of the card is a stealth card that uses internal laptop antennas so no external wifi hardware would be visible but I doubt I will have this card produced since it was more of a novelty concept to show me what they could do for me.

For 100 cards my cost per card is $120.00 FOB, $67.00 based on 1,000 FOB and $22.00 based on 10,000 FOB and these prices don't include any kind of markup or retail packaging (FOB = Freight On Boat).

$22.00 sounds like a really nice price but having to put up the entire money in advance and then store the product when it arrives until they are sold is no easy task.

A production run and delivery of 1000 would take about 21 days and I would probably need to do some kind of pre-sale deposit with at least a minimum order of 300 before I would even consider putting that kind of money up in advance and I'd have to figure out what the actual retail price will be (guaranteed to be less than $100.00).

I am expecting to receive the Broadcom development cards within the next 5 days and the price will be comparable (maybe a couple of dollars less), quantity will always be cheaper and that is what everyone would like however I can't afford to pay for 10,000 cards and sell them off one at a time until they are sold unless someone orders and pays for 5,000 cards, then the retail price would be around $40.00 after I figure out retail packaging for the product.

Here's a shot of the Atheros cards I've already received showing the connection and rate
