crisdj
So i find out that the p43 and p45 are exactly the same the diffrence beetwen them are the suport for 2 Pci Express Grafic cards and the fsb wich in the p43 is 1600 overclocked and in p45 is 1600 stock. So can someone modify the bios for my asus mb because a p5q bios doesnt work for my p5ql pro Thanx Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/118643-osx86-on-intel-p43-chipset/#findComment-840922 Share on other sites
TecHusky
Does anyone have any further word on running OSX86 on the P5QL-Pro (or any P43 chipset for that matter)? I just purchased and installed my new P5QL-Pro motherboard and was only able to install Leo4AllV2 using cpus=1. I am also lacking video (ATI Radeon x1600XT), sound (ALC1200 onboard or Creative X-Fi Extreme), and network drivers. I could in theory deal without video and sound drivers, but running OSX86 is pretty useless for me if I can't have working network drivers. Anyone? I have a zip file that supposedly contains all the kexts needed for this board, without a bios flash, but I have no way of injecting them as I do not own a mac. Have you guys got the P5QL Pro to work with Leopard or Snow Leopard? The BIOS file doesn't seem to be the correct one. The BIOS update utility EZ Flash 2 says this one doesnt work ( http://www.osxcores.site50.net/page1/files/ ) . I've got a retail Snow Leopard DVD and some other disc images but none seems to work. Thankful for all kind help and tips... Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/118643-osx86-on-intel-p43-chipset/#findComment-1343047 Share on other sites
