Ok I want to install osx86 on one HD and windows XP on the other HD, please tell me how I would do this?

Thanks,

Alec

PS: Everything I have tried so far just gets me a blue screen in XP

Put both drives in the machine connect up the XP drive to the first connector install XP once done shutdown disconnect the XP drive connect the OS X drive install it confirm it works shutdown again. Then connect XP drive to first position OS X to second connector when booting hit the F12 key to get the boot list option for all the devices you can boot from scroll down to the hard drives one select the drive you put OS X on to confirm it boots now every time you boot it should default to XP when you use the F12 you can select either drive if you wish but I imagine you would only be using it for OS X boot or maybe a USB hard drive if you have any of those to boot with.

Now if you are going to want to use XP with the AHCI controller enabled for SATA drives then you will need to install with it using the F6 to load the driver from floppy when you see it flash at the bottom of the screen otherwise you will need to go into the BIOS every time you boot to change the controller mode between IDE and SATA, there is a method to install the SATA driver after install using IDE mode you should Google on those instructions.

sorry about my signature, both the drives are sata, does this mean that I can leave ahci always set to sata?

Thanks a lot,

Alec

Sure it is the easiest way to do it but you need to install the SATA driver for XP like I mentioned already.
