I installed it succesfully under VMWare , but when i booted into the system (still in VMWare) the mouse cannot be recognized ... my PS/2 keyboard works however...

I then burnt the image to a dvd, boot my machine from that dvd and try to re-install, this time the mouse cant even be recognized under the install mode... the keyboard (PS/2) is still recognized ...

seems like there's no driver for my board's usb controller?

My Spec is :

AMD64 3000 + Venice (SEE3) on Gigabyte K8T890 (VIA) board. (ATI X700Pro IDE 160G HD)

my MOUSE is the MICROSOFT USB SHARK... should be a pretty standard mouse ....

please help..

thank you...

do you think 2 usb's better or 2 ps/2's better?

coz im goint to get either one tomorrow and don't want to do it again..

one question is, my motherboard wont allow be to boot if i unplug my ps/2 keyboard at the moment, if i use a usb keyboard, can my motherboard recognize that?

thans
