Trodden Posted March 12, 2006 Share Posted March 12, 2006 Well, when beginning the Mac me seems an error in this archive: /System/Library/Extensions/AppleVIAATA.kext asking to reinstall it, what I make? I have a Amd Athlon 64 3500+ (Venice Core) with the SSE3, Motherboard Asus A8V. Also I am with a problem in my plate of net, a Marvell Yukon 88E8001, I do not have Internet, I find that I modulate it of it is not loaded, somebody could help me? Ps: I installed this iso Mac X 10.4.4/5 osx86 Patched Bootable DVD of the PirateBay group. Thanks. Ai Haibara Posted March 14, 2006 Share Posted March 14, 2006 Hi, I solved the problem. --> Open Terminal --> sudo -s --> insert your password --> go to root --> cd System/Library/Extensions --> chown -R root:wheel AppleVIAATA.kext --> chmod -R 755 AppleVIAATA.kext --> reboot It worked for me. authortitle Posted March 15, 2006 Share Posted March 15, 2006 I think that's the same Marvell Yukon as mine, in which case you are out of luck... don't try to force it to load AppleYukon.kext, for me it just made it go ridiculously unstable (crashes every 20 seconds or so). Other problem is the Graphics Mode display ,it doesn´t change after editing /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/com.apple.Boot.plist I have an Geforce 6600GT But for the first time ,Reboot/Shutdown works,on my Intel machine it never worked. I´m using 10.4.5 myzar DVD with an extra Lan card to have net! Which version of osx axept are you installed? Its ethernet functions? Obtains access the InterNet?
