Hey,

I got everything working on Kalyway 10.5.3 (I updated it)

And it's all working beautiful except for the sound.

I tried using the boars search and I found quite a few solutions, non of which worked.

I have an Asrock Conroe133-D667 R1.0 and it has a built in ALC888 Codec.

I also have a Terratec DMX6Fire which I'd rather get to work but there seem to be no drivers.

I'd appreciate if you could give me any advice.

Best would be step by step tutorial (or even better a simple setup file ;-) )

I've tried the azelia and HDA and both didn't work. I've reinstalled my system more than once and even used a patch on the DVD to apparently make it work with my MB but it didn't.

I've heard of people running Leo4All who got it working out of the box.

Anyway.. please help me

Thanks.

Chris

I tried that.. yep... didn't work.

Also it's not that I don't check the right way (according to this board).

I don't go and look in system profiler. I go into settings and look for audio.

But thanks anyway.

Install Azalia drivers.

Same motherboard, output works, no input. AFAIK, that's the best you can get on osx86.

I'm quite sure I've already tried that. I might be mistaken and you mean a differen driver.

I'd appreciate if posted a link so I can be shure which one you mean.

Do you mean you have the same motherboard?

I don't mind about the output, I have a usb headset for things like skype ;-)

Thanks in advance.

EDIT:

Now I've tried that with Azalia (Again?) and found a guide on how to get it working. It suggests that you have to find the vendor and device ids in windows. My Problem now is that I can't even get it to work under windows. I've downloaded the drivers from asrock and from realtek and both do not work.

I don't know what to do anymore. I'm more than happy to try suggestions.

PROBLEM IS SOLVED

I tried doing a BIOS upgrade to 1.8 and saw a registry entry that said "Enable Built in HD Audio" and it was set to Disabled.

OSX86 Wouldn't start anymore so I downgraded to 1.3 again and changed the same entry to Enabled. I then installed azelia and not output works perfectly. Input doesn't work but I don't care about that.

Thanks again to everyone who tried to help me.
