Hi people,

I have a MacBook Pro and since the last update, to 10.5.4, my keyboard has been acting very crazy. Whenever I'm writing some text the cursor suddenly jumps to other part of this same text causing me to cotinue typing in the middle of some other word. Sometimes it selects a big portion of the text causing me to type over it, deleting the entire selected text. The problem seems to get worse the faster I type. If I type very slowly then I practically avoid it.

Please, I need help on this. It's VERY annoying.

thanks

First off, I don't know how to solve your problem, sorry. But oddly enough, I had this issue on a Dell laptop I used to use. It just randomly jumped around the text I was typing, sometimes selecting text (and if I was still typing) deleting it. All I can say is that maybe when you type you are hitting a key that jumps the cursor around. Other than that, I don't know :).

Well, thanks for your answer. I have considered this (that I might be pressing some key or key combination that makes the cursor jump around). This could happen since I use two different keyboards in two different computers with the same frequency and could be "getting used" to type in one of them, if you know what I mean. But I can't figure out wich key or combination I could be accidentally hitting. Because I don't know a key combination that does that. Any clue?

Another thing I notice is that it usually happens when my right hand is near the enter, delete and right shift keys. So a possible key combination could involve those. This is very weird!
