crazymanjared
I just downloaded and burned the Kalyway 5.2 install dvd, it booted fine and when doing its thing it gives me the error "sam multimedia: read or write failed (then some random numbers and letters) and if i wait about 2 or 3 minutes it says "still waiting on root" then it just sits there. system specs: geforce 8600gts 2gb corsair ram, 2gb crucial ballistix, ASUS AM2-Sli Deluxe (chipset is nforce 550 i believe) 500gb {censored} samsung hdd, and an AMD 6000+ dual core. Edit: I read where it said most of the time that error was from a bad burn, so i got a brand new DVD and burned it at 1x with imgburn, same error. pauℓzurrr.
I think the problems lies in the nForce 550 chipset, That's why you get the Still waiting for root device i think. If you can you could give Leo4All a try Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/117756-install-error/#findComment-834489 Share on other sites

Gujal
For nForce based motherboards, SAM Multimedia error generally relates to SATA DVD Drive being used. nForceSATA driver is community developed and is still not 100% there. People have had better luck using IDE DVD Drive (and in some cases IDE Hard disks too) to get Leo installed on nForce chipset based motherboards Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/117756-install-error/#findComment-835459 Share on other sites
