I'm looking at either of these 2 cards. I've looked around on here at others, but a lot of the ones recommended are PCIe and all I have is AGP and PCI.

I pulled the card name from someone on here's sig, so I'm assuming it would work. Going to order this weekend, so some help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Yeah those should work fine, you just need the gf5200.zip which you can find on this page Useful Files. Scroll down to B through M and look for it. Its just a simple installer specifically for the 5200, there are other nvidia installers that work as well so its easy to get it working. If for some reason the links are dead PM me and I'll upload it for ya.

I would try for the 256mb versions instead of the 128mb but yeah, they cost almost double. Gaming will pretty much suck :o (as far as any newer games) thats PCI though, its ancient history. I don't game at all so it doesn't bother me. Works fine for movies and most importantly the bells and whistles that come with enabling QE/CI on OS X.

I would also look through some of the AGP threads since you got that option and see what guys have gotten to work, you may be able to get a much better card. I don't have AGP so I have no idea, but I thought it was a better technology than PCI. Anyway good luck ;)
