numberonekiwi Posted July 25, 2008 Share Posted July 25, 2008 I have recently got this laptop and would like to install Leo onto it at the moment I am running into the dreaded still waiting for root device The IDE Controller is 4349 1002 I have found post here relating to another similar controller AppleOnbardPCATA.kext and have found this file and modified the info.plist file to contain these numbers however when booting the DVD and using -v -f -x -legacy in any combination and not always all of them I get a message com.apple.driver.AppleOnboardPCATA has no explicit kernel dependencies using version 6.0 - which I dont believe this to the the cause as I have had similar messages about ACPI when loading this onto another PC Can anyone help out with what I may be doing wrong or anyone here got Leo onto a Laptop with similar vendor/device IDs Thanks Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
