Manutd Posted July 24, 2008 Share Posted July 24, 2008 i have the same problem my hardware is Intel p4 3.4 cache 2mb 1gb ram msi 945 motherboard the other version work fine . and when i try to update from 10.5.3 to 10.5.4 the system keep restarting after loading darwin x86 . any help . tids Posted July 24, 2008 Share Posted July 24, 2008 check if u still have legendary "darwin" magical script working on iatkos 4.o on the darwin command press f8 then -s ... after the bash comes type darwin see if it works ... then follow the instructions and type exit it will take u to the insatallation screen . select the itakos_4i mainl files, darwin bootloader, smbios, and remove thermal kexts. make sure u erase ur disk first and format it with mac extended (journaled ) . applying the darwin script is the second step. Navin R. Johnson Posted July 24, 2008 Share Posted July 24, 2008 Which packages did you install from the DVD? There were two other types of kernels to install and one of them being the 9.4.0 kernel. I ignored those and installed the nvinject for my card, selected all network cards and some ACPI options for greater stability. It loaded just fine on an ASUS Vintage V2-PH1 with a Pentium D 940 and 4GB RAM. filip007 Posted July 25, 2008 Author Share Posted July 25, 2008 I boot up without CD press F8 and boot MAC with -v and this came out...this is from the stupid GREY stop error logo I use itakos_4i mainl files, darwin bootloader, smbios, and remove thermal kexts and ONE CORE disabled in BIOS, EFI boot disabled in BIOS, nothing works...
