zakfontaine
Before updating to 10.5.4 I could use the vga out to my tv and mirror the displays (for frets on fire and stuff). Now, when I try this both screens get scrambled and are unusable until a reboot. However, I can use the extended desktop feature with no problem. I've tried all of the supported resolutions, and I'm positive that it did work at one time. Any ideas? Core image / Quartz Extreme are both supported as well. I have loaded the Macbook smbios, but I'm pretty sure I had it loaded when I did this the last time... zakfontaine
yeah erm, you cant mirror your display with a x3100 :S it will always get scrambled... That's odd, because I'm sure that I did it before...is there at least a way to just use the external monitor? pritthish
yeah, connect your external monitor (make sure mirroring is off).. move your menubar to the ext one.. unplug or turn off your main monitor, click on Detect Displays... now only your external monitor will be on [atleast thats how it works on my laptop ] Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/117192-problem-with-dual-monitors-on-gma-x3100/#findComment-831159 Share on other sites
