MacUser2525 Posted July 23, 2008 Share Posted July 23, 2008 i got rid of the backup thanks for that everytime i boot i dont have to type -f do i i can just leave like they its always been Exactly the -f is only needed when you have added/removed/changed a kernel extension (.kext file) then you remove the Caches and .mkext file (the rm -r lines I posted) then when you reboot the -f forces everything to be reloaded and cached again so the system can see the changes that have been made.
