Ok so long story short - My cd/dvd drive is broken, and all I have on my HDD is Ubuntu v. 8.10

I want to know if I make a new partition ( Say, 4 GB ) and extract the contents of the Kalyway 10.5.2 ISO to it, and boot off of it, will it act as an install disk so I can install OS X to the main partition?

If so how would/what should I -

What should I use as the filesystem for the Install disk partition?

How do I extract the ISO?

How do I mark the partition as bootable?

And, how do I boot the partition?

Any help, is MUCH appreciated!!!

P.S. - Remember I am on Ubuntu 8.10 Hardy Heron!
