Sonic-NKT Posted July 18, 2008 Share Posted July 18, 2008 Hi, i have a ICH7 Mainboard with ALC888 and get Output (Stereo) only, i can live with stereo only, but what i really miss is a Line-In or Mic. Is there a small USB Stick or something like that with Linein/Mic that works under Mac (Tiger) ? i dont want to buy a whole USB Soundcard cause i just dont need it and btw, are there problems with USB SOundcards if you have other intensive Devices connected? (Like USB Harddrives or DVB-T Stick). Or has anyone got the ALC888 fully working with ICH7 searched alot and tried several drivers but no luck, but maybe i missed something. I got an iMic on Ebay for like $15 shipped works great so you may want to give it a go I just checked and it looks like there are a few still selling there. For the I/O part I use it all the time watching TV using my USB Hauppague stick with my headphones on while using an external USB drive on occasion no drop outs at all. Sad thing is that it is not that easy anymore to get the hands on one, atleast in Germany.
