EtherealRemnant
Okay I can't find a driver for the sound anywhere. It works in Linux just fine, has anyone figured out how to make it work in OS X? I seriously have had a hell of a time getting this laptop to work... as a matter of fact, since my wifi isn't supported, I've now got a Sprint Novatel U727 data card so I can browse lol. If anyone can help me, I'd greatly appreciate it. mentorek
What is your soundchip? What is the wifi chip? Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/116322-anyone-with-satellite-x200x205-and-working-sound/#findComment-823717 Share on other sites
EtherealRemnant
I believe the sound in all the X200/X205s is based on ALC268 - I tried the 268 driver posted here but no sound comes out, it recognizes two internal sound adapters but all I hear is static through my speakers... LOUD static and I can't shut the volume off. My wifi I know there is no hope for right now - 4965 a/g/n I thought there used to be a way to pull the codec info from inside of linux... does this method still work and does anyone still know how to do it?
