cyrana
That means a Barton, right? Has anyone successfully booted one? I thought you had to have SSE2 at a minimum, and Bartons only had SSE. cyrana
It won't work as I suggested. You can only get into -s (single user). The GUI requires SSE2+. http://forum.osx86project.org/index.php?showtopic=182 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/1162-need-help/#findComment-7075 Share on other sites

cyrana
Yeah I know. I have a Barton system at 2.4GHz that runs pretty well. But it is getting a bit slow even for new games now (with a fast vid card), so I might just replace it with a 915 board and a cheap(ish) p4 with SSE3 or something. But, at least if you have decent hardware, the x86 mac runs fairly snappy...
