Lord Norr
First release I tried which installed first time. However I have only 3 issues which I hope someone can help me with. Once I booted into Leopard there was 2 problems. dodgy video and no internet. I tried googling for the right kexts for my rig but I couldnt get them to install. I found a kext for my Marvell 88E1116 lan chipset but it wouldnt work. Firstly I used KextHelper and that said reboot. I did and nothing. Next I downloaded a graphics package for my ATI X1900XTX. That installed and asked to reboot. Again the same problem. All dialog boxes and drop down/up menus are completely black. Currently im trying to get my wireless dlink adapter to work with it. But because I cant see dialog boxes and menus i cant enter the ip information to get on the net in the first place. My current resolution is 1280x1024 not 1400x900. any pointers on the above issues would be amazing. Im so close to having a fully functional Leopard install. FrankOS_Scripting
You shoukd have sleep/reboot/shutdown problem. First, you should try ton install kext ACPIPlatform etc. After, you should be allowed to reboot Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/116041-leo4allv3-video-and-lan-driver-problems/#findComment-821504 Share on other sites
Lord Norr
Sorry, Im not that experienced with all this kext business. I cant shutdown and reboot ok, but If I leave the screen for too long the system locks up. But it has gone to sleep before fine. Im just pulling my hair out trying to get the internet to work. When I install Leo4All I select the Marvell lan driver kext and the ATI x1900 kext. But once installed, neither seems to work well. The ONLY problem with the graphics is the black menus. Which make navigating the system a real pain. All Im hoping is that there are 2 kext files out there. I install them both and problem solved, but im sure that would be too easy Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/116041-leo4allv3-video-and-lan-driver-problems/#findComment-822515 Share on other sites
FrankOS_Scripting
Try to install the packages on your DVD for your Marvell LAN and your ATI packages drivers. I have in mind it should be work but I'm worried about the fact your ACPI is not more supported... skavenger0816
If you have problems with your LAN... just install a new PCI LAN-card with Realtek 8139 Chip. I use this card on my system and it works without installing any additional drivers. Internet and LAN works perfectly. so long Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/116041-leo4allv3-video-and-lan-driver-problems/#findComment-827918 Share on other sites
