FransNetwork Posted July 16, 2008 Share Posted July 16, 2008 I did... - booted the dvd - utilities and then Disk Utility. - format it using mac os extended (journaled) - customize - got a successfully installed but i have to boot it from the dvd then boots up fine i know it said on forums that i had to format the HD as a single partition using GUID or MBR But how do you format the HD as a single partition using GUID or MBR? if someone can give me a quide or a link then ill be great full whatever way Cheers Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

FransNetwork Posted October 21, 2008 Author Share Posted October 21, 2008 I tired and i tired but i had no luck with the fujitsu mpe3273at hard drive and it was saying ERROR LOADING OPERATING SYSTEM then i had to boot up by the dvd and it works but a think maybe mac didnt like to be running at 5400 rpm lol. But i buyed a hard drive from ebay (western digital wd400bb running at 7200 rpm) and works great, format it using mac os extended (journaled), customized what i wonted, got a successfully installed. taken my dvd drive from the ide then...
