mick101
Hi all, I know this subject has been discussed before but no one has mentioned what file version for the AppleIntel*.* extension they are using in 10.4.5 that enabled them to change resolutions instead of being stuck with 1024x768. It seems that my backup extensions for AppleIntel*.* from 10.4.4 have the same size and version as the one from 10.4.5. I've tried to copy those from 10.4.3 but I get a grey screen and a cursor. I've done the Post-Installation Part 2 from Maxxuss on all attempts. In case my backup file are wrong, how do I extract from the 10.4.4 restore DVD? Cheers, PS: Cheers Maxxuss, you're doing a wonderfull job. Through your efforts more people will be able to enjoy Macs now. panos2310
Hi. I just copied all AppleIntel* (2 kexts & 2 plugins I think) from 10.4.4 to /System/Library/Extension and then did a permissions repair. I tried many other things that did no work. It seems that It is not advisable to flush the kernel cache. The extensions from 10.4.3 did not work correctly. labria
You just have to replace AppleIntegratedFramebuffer, nothing else, and repair permissions. Work perfect here. mick101
Hi all, I figured out why my extension for the AppleIntelIntegratedFramebuffer.kext didn't work. I had the wrong version backedup. So I extracted from the Restore DVD of 10.4.4 using Pacifist (it's in the Essentials.pkg). So for those who don't know what version is right. Here they are: AppleIntelIntegratedFramebuffer.kext <---- v. 1.4.20.8 from 10.4.4 (use this) AppleIntelIntegratedFramebuffer.kext <---- v. 1.4.24.6 from 10.4.5 (don't use this) Cheers, Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/11596-gma900950-extension-1045/#findComment-73552 Share on other sites

Which version of the installation DVD did you use? If you used Myzar's, or the newer one based on his, then the correct versions of the files get installed automatically. If you used some other DVD, you may or may not have the working versions.
