mwalam Posted March 10, 2006 Share Posted March 10, 2006 Hello I try to install OSX on my AMD Box through VMWare. first i will discribe you about my hard drives configrations. Mastor IDE. hda hda1 = primary = windows server 2003 (vmware installed in ths server) hda5 = logical = try to install OSX Segate IDE. hdb hdb1 = primary = try to install osx hdb 6 = Open Suse 10.0 Now the problem is I can install to the hard drive. it install on the hard drive through vmware. but when i tried to boot OS X after installation natively. it says. HFS+ error. i am trying to install OS X 10.4.3 8f1099. can you please solve my problem. I also cannot boot it into vmware it says GRUB. and show a box. rohde Posted March 10, 2006 Share Posted March 10, 2006 It's because you're installing on a non-HFS+ partition. Why don't you burn the iso to a dvd and then reboot and install from the dvd? That's much easier. Just make sure that the first thing you do in the install procedure is to use the disk utility to delete the hd/partition you want to install on (that way you're converting the hd to the Mac OS X Journaled format).
