Cesar Elias
Hi all I've been trying to install the Kalyway_10.5.2 DVD Intel_AMD at my VMWare Workstation (on Windows) and always get the same error message just after: Resetting IOCatalogue Matching service count = 0 Matching service count = 0 Matching service count = 0 Matching service count = 0 Matching service count = 0 Jul 14... localhost kextd[47]: root filesystem is read-only; skipping kernel link data generation Or, in other time: localhost ResportCrash[55]: Too many crashes in rapid succession! sinnLoser
i found out if you restart VMware (mac os boot) 10-20 times it will load on any boot sequence with the errors the Install-Setup but u can just see the background image and the Load Mouse (looks like a colored clock) but it won't load anymore after this. weLL here r the Screenshots of the different errors: and sometimes before he want to start the boot it failed with this: i'll post the screenshot of the install setup if it appears again ! Here is the install setup which will be loaded randomly on the boot sequence with the errors: MfG sinnLoser Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/115751-mkdir-failed-to-create/#findComment-844788 Share on other sites

Cbajd5
I'm getting the errors too, along with the one screen with the background and loading cursor. So I'm going to now try to paly the waiting game. I'm on an Acer Aspire AM1610 (The Desktop that was on sale last Black Friday at Circuit City) with the only difference being a Nvidia Geforce 8400 GS being installed. Using VMWare for the install with the FreeBSD operating system setting. Currently in Windows Vista Ultimate Edition using VMWare 6.0.0 Worksation ACE Edition. But I was getting the same error while using the regular one earlier. Using "Kalyway_10.5.2_DVD_Intel_Amd" too. Cbajd5
Downloaded the "iDeneb_v1.3_10.5.5" DVD tried it in VM ware, got this so far: Basically this just keeps continuing. So it's an issue with the drive it's writing to, not the DVD I'm using to install it. Trying to do a Native install, since I can't get past the still waiting for root device with a normal install, along with something about Firewire, if that matters. Wondering if there is a possibility for help with that too. Because it won't let me close VMWare complaining that it is busy. Did not see what lead up to this though. Apparently it has the same errors, but it gets farther. BECAUSE I WAS ABLE TO EXIT. Now I can't get the nice looking screen, only boring GRAY. roboprez
I'm having the exact same problems with installing Kalyway_10.5.2_DVD_Intel_Amd in VMware workstation 6.5.2 I managed to get to the aurora background and mac loading mouse once but now it ALWAYS gets stuck on 'mkdir failed to create library logs with error read-only file system' Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/115751-mkdir-failed-to-create/#findComment-1165660 Share on other sites
