DWells55
Hey everyone. A while back I got Kaly's 10.5.1 disc installed on my rig. I later updated to 10.5.2 using his update package and then added an EFI string for my 8800GT, enabling it to work perfectly with QE/CI and all the resolutions I needed. The system works perfectly. However, since I left campus a couple months ago, I haven't used the machine at all, mostly out of lack of space and time to set it up. I'm just now setting it up again and wondering if it's worth the trouble of updating to 10.5.3 and 10.5.4. Any major advantages in doing so, or is it just unneeded risk? Thanks. Schwinn555
I just went back to 10.5.2 . I'm not sure what the advantages of upgrading are. I can tell you both 3 & 4 have driven me crazy with dropped wireless internet connections. It takes a reboot to get wireless running again. It's also a hot topic at Apple as it is a problem with real Macs. Doesn't happen with all machines and no real fix yet. DWells55
Guess I'll stick with my stable 10.5.2 system then, thanks. Probably gonna hold off until Snow Leopard.
