Coyoti Posted July 14, 2008 Share Posted July 14, 2008 Hi Guys, Posted this before, but hoping someone will actually help tis time round. I have a working 10.5.2 Build on my pc and all thats jazz. Trying to get internet running. I have an Intel 82566DC-2 Network ethernet card which I know is not work. It doesn't even show up in System Profiler. On the other hand in system profiler my internal USB WiFi shows up but i can not use it when I got into System Preferences> Network. This is a direct copy of what is showing up in system profiler. USB High-Speed Bus: Host Controller Location: Expansion Slot Host Controller Driver: AppleUSBEHCI PCI Device ID: 0x293c PCI Revision ID: 0x0002 PCI Vendor ID: 0x8086 Bus Number 0xfa 802.11 bg WLAN Version 0.01 Bus Power 500 Speed up to 480 Mb/sec Manufacturer: Ralink Product ID: 0x0004 Vendor ID: 0x15a9 I have tried the following: http://www.ralinktech.com/ralink/Home/Support/Macintosh.html but they don't seem to work. Can anyone help? I don't even know the proper name for this device. Only what is above. Please help I really want internet on my Mac OS so that I can use it as my main OS. TY for help and please comment ANY thoughts or ideas. I am willing to try anything to get my wireless or my ethernet running. jinnggoff Posted November 7, 2009 Share Posted November 7, 2009 that seems like odd...because the device id & vendor id are appear in info.plist file... are you sure install with RT257x aka RT73 driver?
