Any Posted July 14, 2008 Share Posted July 14, 2008 Dear members, first of all hello to all... I've discovered this forum and would like to ask you all a simple question. Currently I have an P5n32-SLI Mother Board (Nforce680 chipset), intel C2D, 2xSata HDD and a SATA DVDR with an geforce 9600GT. I've tryed to install iatkos v1.0, v2.0 kaly 10.5.2 and I always got problems booting, i cant even install the OS it just gets stuck on "Waiting for Root Device" can someone point me in the right direction to install the OSX86? I have done that... on my motherboard it says : * Install Method: Kalyway 10.5.2 and 10.5.3 Combo Update Package by Mysticus v1.3 * CPU: Core 2 Quad Q6600 had to edit about this mac strings file to show that in the about this mac window * Audio: didn't test since I'm using sound blaster audigy 2 zs pci card and that didn't work either * LAN: Onboard LAN requires installation of the forcedeth driver o still doesn't work though, shows as always being unplugged o used a D-Link DFE-530TX+ PCI Adapter and that worked fine * SATA: SATA works alright out of the box (as long as you don't enable SATA RAID) but freezes sometimes o suspects it's because the nforce drivers are still buggy * IDE: works * USB 1 and 2: works but not able to mount usb drives until after you install the 10.5.3 combo update, don't select PCUSBGen fix, not needed * USB Booting: not sure * Optical Drive: SATA and USB Optical Drives are supported after 10.5.3 combo update installed * Graphics: Nvidia 8600GTS 256 MB with nvinject 256 option selected with full Quarts Extreme and Core Image support (QE/CI) I have tryed Kalyway 10.5.2 method but it stops on Waiting for Root Device, can it be because my HDD's and DVD-Drive are SATA?
