lambsporriegetta Posted March 10, 2006 Share Posted March 10, 2006 having a problem with a hard drive after installing 10.4.5 the main drive is on Serial ATA, the problem drive is on Parallel ATA. After a year of being fine, and after installing 10.4.5, the drive seems to simply stop responding, consistently after sleeping, but also occasionally after just a short time of usage. i've managed to copy half the drive this morning before it stopped responding, which represented about 30GB transfered. the problem isn't restricted to the OS as the bios doesn't seem to always see it either, which i am assuming it should, but as its secondary, maybe not essential to the OS.
