Hertog
Hello everybody, I've just installed Kalyway 10.5.2 a few hours ago. Nearly everything works Except audio and my card reader (but I don't use my card reader so what the hell xD) But I'm having some problems with my install. Everytime I want to boot it, I need to enter single user mode do the /movevideodriver command and make it rebuild it's extension database and then and only then it's gonna boot. If I don't do that it's gonna hangs at : Jul 11 14:16:06 localhost configd[55]: InterfaceNamer: timed out waiting for IOKit to quiesce Question 1 out of 2 : Is it possible to have Mac OS X boot graphiclly ? mac_maestro
For your second question... As the darwin bootloader starts, hit F8 Then at the prompt, type ? and hit return. It gives you all the startup options, including how to load a specific kernel. Best of luck. largo
I had that same problem you had with the hanging at exactly the same point. If your refering to an PCMCIA Cardbus Slot as your "Card Reader" then I think I have found your problem. I thought just as you did, why install the driver if I don't need it anyways? Well as it turns out without the driver my Leo took forever to boot, after I installed the driver it booted in no-time. So check it out and get the driver from here.
