WMP54GS 1.1 frequent disconnects

I'm running vanilla kernel, vanilla apple kexts.

 

I'm experiencing frequent disconnects on my WMP54GS 1.1 Leopard 10.5.4, stock everything (except DSMOS). Landlord had a WRT-300N that I connect to. WPA2 personal pre-shared key.

 

I lose the connection every few minutes. From full bars to nothing, instantly. Sometimes it figures out how to reconnect, other times it doesn't. Usually if I select the wireless network from the airport menu it will connect again... for another few minutes. Sometimes it takes a minute for the airport icon in the menubar to go dim--i.e. a download will halt, and a minute later airport will gray out. There may also be some speed issues--not completely sure whether or not that's related.

 

Meanwhile my MacBook a few feet away has no dropped connections whatsoever.

Have you changed the channel?

I have the same issue with the card. I already changed the channel. Original Macbook has no problem to connect. I tried 10.5.2/4 version of IO8011.kext. The problem remains.

I'm having trouble as well. I installed Leopard 10.5.6 and can't seem to get the airport to keep a connection. It works blazing fast when it works but after a few minutes it just decides that enough is enough and it won't scan successfully or anything.

 

It's quite annoying, really.
