Hey fellow Hack's,

My specs: ASUS P5K Pro

Install Method: Leo4all v.3 and Kalyway 10.5.3 combo update Vanilla Kernel

Audio: Realtek ALC883
LAN: Marvell 88E8056
installed both drivers for Intel ICHx chipsets and VIA Sis Marvell and SB chipset driver
Optical Drive: Lite-on multi format drive on SATA
Intel Core 2 Duo E4600 Allendale 2.4GHz overclocked to 3.1GHZ
4GB DDR2 RAM

Onboard LAN doesn't work. I've tried installing the SKGE driver to no avail. I've also tried editing the AppleYukon2.kext-->Info.plist file by changing the file to represent my hardware i.e. changing 8053 key to 8056 and changing string 0x436211ab to 0x436411ab....this killed my PS2 mouse and keyboard. I had to plug in USB mouse & Keyboard. Tried changing the keys back to their original settings to get back PS2 Keyboard and mouse but failed and had to do a reinstall of LEO. I'll also tried Kalyway 10.5.2 release but it kept locking up whenever I tried to do the 10.5.3 combo update.

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks kindly in advance.

I tried vanilla kernel once, didn't boot. I stuck to Modbin 9.22 kernel. On the combo update, I used Modbin 9.3 kernel. I tried updating to 10.5.4 because every time I rebooted, I would have to use "update -v" at the Darwin prompt. Also, it automatically reinstalled ToH 9.2 kernel. I tried using OSX86 tools to install Modbin 9.4 kernel, but the system didn't boot (I already updated the system.kext thing)

I left the default drivers for network too.

Update:

I was able to get LEO4ALL working after all. I had to edit the AppleYukon2.kext--> Info.plist by changing the file t represent my hardware the 88E8056 Marvel gigabit adapter. Strange because I did that before and it didn't work. I'm using the Vanilla Kernel from LEO4ALL with the 10.5.3 Combo Update from Kalyway and performed the System update via Apple and all is working swell so far. The only thing that is "not" functional but I'm dealing with is Time Machine. Every time I run Time Machine it locks up the system and I have to do a hard reboot. I don't know if there is a fix for this. I even tried going back and reinstalling the Time Machine fix via the LEO4ALL disk and this broke my LAN again. So I figure my LAN card and the Time Machine fix are somehow interrelated.

Does anyone know or have a fix for Time Machine that would be awesome. Otherwise, Thanks Insanelymac, I found all of my research and fixes via this forum!!!
